Breadfruit Hash Browns

Rinse and squeeze the shredded breadfruit very thoroughly to prevent sogginess. Add the breadfruit to a bowl, along with the shallots, smoked paprika, onion powder, sea salt, chickpea flour, and the prepared flaxmeal "egg" (1 tbsp flaxmeal + 3 tbsp water, mixed and set for 5-7 minutes). Mix all ingredients together until well incorporated. Form the mixture into hash brown shapes and let them set in the freezer for at least 5 minutes to firm up. Alternatively, you can put them in the fridge if you’re not making them right away. You can either deep fry or pan fry the hash browns until they are lightly golden. Finish cooking them in a preheated oven (325 degrees Fahrenheit) until the inside is cooked through, which will take about 10 more minutes, depending on the thickness.
